Our Program
The RJ Grey athletic program is divided into Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Within each season, we offer a variety of athletic programs which are determined on a year-by-year basis, subject to overall interest.
Athletic Fees
• $350 basic fee per sport per athletic season (three athletic seasons per academic year). Please make checks out to AB Athletics.
• $250 additional fee per athletic season for each of the following sports: ice hockey and alpine ski
**The total maximum annual family cap for Acton-Boxborough student-athletes participating in the above activities during the 2025-2026 school year shall be $1200. Only the basic fee counts towards the total annual family cap calculation. The additional fee does NOT apply to the total annual family cap calculation.**

*Depending upon the number of interested participants, the team size may be capped, and participation may be based on registration date. Also, athletes who do not earn a spot on another RJ Grey and then wish to participate in either XC or Track are welcome to join, subject to available spaces and registration date. Interested participants who sign up for XC or Track only will be given priority over participants who signed up for two sports.
**Students participating in any RJ Grey Sports team are expected to attend all practices and games. They will not be available to participate in any clubs, afterschool activities, or outside of school commitments that interfere with the practice and games scheduled during their season (ie. Ski Club, Chess Club, etc.).
How Do I Sign Up
Please use Family ID to signup, then turn in an updated physical exam (*signed and dated by an approved healthcare provider within the last 13 months) to the school nurses.

The $350 athletic user fee will be due to your coach once the final team roster is announced.

Follow these steps:
- To find your program, click on the link provided by the Organization above and select the registration form under the word Programs.
- Next click on the green Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create Account/Log In green buttons. If this is your first time using FamilyID, click Create Account. Click Log In, if you already have a FamilyID account.
- Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password. Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service. Click Create Account.
- You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. (If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.).
- Click on the link in your activation E-mail, which will log you in to FamilyID.com
- Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red* are required to have an answer.
- Click the Continue button when your form is complete.
- Review your registration summary.
***When you do sign up, please choose Junior High for teams for incoming 7th and 8th graders; incoming 9th through 12th graders will choose their sport.
You will have to click submit on one of the payment methods at the end. You do not have to pay at that time, you will be expected to pay when you make a team.

All students must pass a physical examination within 13 months before participating in any sport. A sports physical terminates 395 days subsequent to administering and must be renewed immediately to maintain eligibility, per MIAA and MA DPH rules and regulations.
The activity fee schedule, effective for the 2025-2026 school year, shall be as follows:

All payments must be paid online or via check, should be made out to "AB Athletics", and must be given to the head coach once tryouts have concluded and teams have been named.
