Instructions for Registering 

Thank you for your interest in joining the RJ Grey Ski and Board Club. This club gives students a fun opportunity to ski or board with their classmates from RJ Grey.  Please read all of the information below and complete each registration step.

Two (2) coach buses are available, and each seat must be filled.  We will accept fully completed student registrations in the order received, in blocks of 52 students. Depending on the number of students enrolled, you might be placed on a waitlist for when/if space becomes available.

Please note that students in a winter sport can NOT participate in Ski Club (vice versa)

Students are transported by Coach bus directly to Wachusett Mountain after school.  Students return to school by bus at approximately 7:30/7:45pm where families must provide a prompt pick-up.

 

Please follow the instructions below and complete all required steps 

Your registration is not fully complete until ALL of the following steps have been completed. Thank you!

  1. Register for a ski pass at Mt. Wachusett website by going to the Wachusett Sign up page. Use the code RGJHS. At the same site, you may also purchase rentals, lessons, and COW cards. See below for more information regarding ski lift ticket passes.
  2. Fill out this Google Form with student and emergency information. This provides emergency contact info directly to our club advisors.
  3. You and your child should review the following documents: the Student Expectations form and the Hazing law
  4. Print out the Permission Signature Page.  Complete all sections. Both student and parent/guardian must sign.  Return the completed Permission page with the Transportation fee to Mrs. McVey in room #403. Hard copies of this form are in the Main Office if printing is a challenge.
  5. Submit the Transportation fee of  $175.00, payable to RJ Grey JHS (or pay via eFunds), along with the completed Permission page (see section 4 above).
  6. Pay the once-a-year district Activity Fee of $50.00 payable to ABRSD (or paid via eFunds) and return to Mrs. McVey in room #403.

Students can purchase a 6-week Lift Badge for the 6 Ski Club dates OR purchase one of the Mt. Wachusett Season Pass options. The Season Pass is an option, not a requirement for Ski Club participants.  For information regarding lift ticket options, rental equipment, and lessons, please refer to the Wachusett Mountain website.  Rates at Wachusett do increase on December 1st.  Lessons and equipment rentals can be limited based on availability.

Students who already have a ski lift pass for Mt. Wachusett can sign up to participate in the Ski Club (and not purchase a lift ticket through the Ski Club).  A completed and signed Wachusett application must still be submitted with your registration materials.  On the form, you will indicate that you’ve purchased a season pass and no payment is required.  However, you will still be responsible for the $175.00, which is the Student Transportation Fee, and the one-time district activity fee ($50), and whatever additional rentals/lessons you may elect to purchase through the Wachusett website.
