Under Massachusetts law (Chapter 71, Section 59C), every public school forms a School Council comprised of the principal, teachers, parents, and community members. The Council partners with school leadership to identify needs, set goals, review the budget, and shape the annual School Improvement Plan. At Acton-Boxborough, School Councils reflect our commitment to wellness, equity, and engagement, ensuring that many perspectives guide how we support students. Families and community members play a vital role, and their input helps strengthen connections between school and community. Interested in joining or learning more?
