Vision Statement

Creating a community of thinkers, learners, and responsible citizens.

Belief Statements

  1. Our school should be a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment that allows students and staff to focus on and engage in the process of learning.
  2. Staff, parents/guardians, and students have a shared responsibility in supporting each student's learning.
  3. Every aspect of our school should support the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of students in early adolescence, fostering resiliency as they mature and become more independent.
  4. Each individual is valuable and unique, and our social and academic interactions should reflect the respect all are due both in and out of classrooms.
  5. Our school should develop caring and intellectually reflective citizens; all members should act with integrity, contribute positively, and learn to appreciate the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of our various communities, from the classroom to the world.
  6. Curriculum and instruction should challenge students academically: foster intellectual curiosity, provide knowledge, develop effective communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as support students' transition to the next stage of their education.
  7. A love of learning should be fostered for all students and staff, both formally and informally.
